Trampoline drama in Salzburg: 11-year-old breaks both heels!
Klagenfurt, Österreich - A shocking incident shook a student from Klagenfurt on December 23, 2024, who was seriously injured during a sports week at Katschberg in Salzburg. The 11-year-old broke both heel legs when he dared to jump from a trampoline tower in a trampoline hall onto a compensation mat. However, he ignored an unpaid mat, which led to the serious injuries, such as 5min.at reported.
The teacher immediately asked the boy's mother to pick him up because he had severe pain and could no longer move his feet after the impact. The rescue was also alerted at the instruction of the mother. The injured boy was flown to the hospital in Klagenfurt with a rescue helicopter, where he is now operated on and the Christmas holidays are expected to spend in the hospital. Interestingly, the headmaster reports that there was no supervisory injury. Nevertheless, the circumstances of the insufficiently secured mat were apparently known, which, according to the "Kleine Zeitung" was confirmed by the operators of the trampoline hall, as kaernten.at added.
