The AK district office in Tamsweg recorded 2476 consultations last year. The majority of this was due to the free tax extinguisher, which secured remarkable tax repayments of a total of 303,700 euros. Eder also pointed out the success of complaints, where the employees concerned were awarded 2000 euros each.

The social challenges that Lungau faces are diverse. According to Eder, it is crucial that people in the region can still enjoy a higher quality of life. "We need affordable living and perspectives for property," he says. The Lungau offers a great quality of life, but the economic model must be diversified in order to meet the needs of the population.

What does Peter Eder expect from the new government? "I would like an honest political line that clearly communicates to the people, how the state budget is ordered and which solutions are realistic," he explained. In his opinion, honest words are the way to regain the trust of the population and to reduce any protest. People are ready to accept reality as long as politics acts clearly and comprehensibly.
