Fast use of the fire brigade prevents fire disaster in Tamsweg

This led too strong smoke that quickly moves around the system. In order to quickly assess the situation, the firefighters used a thermal imaging camera while a respirator was ready to minimize the risk of fire.

preventive measures and rapid action

In order to keep control of the situation, the aerial ladder was also positioned. In this way, the firefighters were able to examine the wood chip silo with a better point of view. This was an important step to ensure that the fire could not spread further.

In cooperation with a smoke sweeper, the emergency services carried out a thorough review of the entire heating system. Fortunately, the fire protection flap had activated, which prevented the fire from spreading into the wood chipsilo.
