Ferdinand celebrates its premiere: Mokrit's new family enthusiasts in Tamsweg
The Mokrit Theater in Tamsweg celebrates a new chapter in its almost 40-year history by presenting its latest piece, "Ferdinand". This exciting premiere took place on October 13, 2024 in Kuenburg Castle in front of a fully occupied auditorium. The piece is part of a long tradition of puppet theater and family pieces that the Mokrit Theater has brought on stage over the years.
The Mokrit Theater has specialized in the past 15 years to write musical family pieces and to perform all over Austria. Directed by Marcella Wieland and Robert Wimmer, with music by Eva Priesel and Klaus Aigner, "Ferdinand" is described as a captivating story for the whole family. The staging not only offers entertainment, but also brings current topics on stage which viewers of all ages address.
The creative team and the performance
The cooperation between Mokrit Theater and Jeunesse Austria has found positive response. In the organizers' words of thanks, the hard work of the team was recognized, including the impressive costumes by Rosa Wallbrecher and the great support from the LKV team. The ensemble members and the visitors were equally enthusiastic and appreciated the creative staging of the piece.
The performance shows that the efforts of the theater to create high -quality and entertaining family productions. The piece is not only popular in Tamsweg, but also has the goal of reaching a wider audience through a planned Austria tour.
The tour will soon start, as early as October 14th in Tamsweg, with further performances in cities such as Radstadt, Hallwang, Gmunden and Klagenfurt. The exact dates are: 14. And October 15th at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in Tamsweg, 4:00 p.m. in Radstadt, 9:00 a.m. on October 16 in Radstadt and on October 17th and 10:45 a.m. in Hallwang and on October 18 in Gmunden. The last planned stop is on October 19 at 4:00 p.m. in Klagenfurt.
