Salzburg's most beautiful places: Choose your favorite in voting!

The anticipation for national competition for the most beautiful place in Austria is increasing: From October 3 to 7, the audience has the opportunity to choose their favorites. For the city of Salzburg, the Schrannenmarkt, the Hacklberger Lakes in Pinzgau and the Gadaunerer Gorge (Pongau) are in the race.

The voting starts on October 3 at 7:00 p.m. and runs until October 7, midnight. During this time, spectators can vote for their favorite place by phone or SMS. The costs amount to 50 cents per call or SMS, whereby the participants are open to the choice between several voices.

The three nominees offer unique experiences and attract both locals and tourists. The Schrannenmarkt, known for its traditional atmosphere and regional products, is often celebrated as a hidden jewel of the city. The Hacklberger Lakes, idyllically located in Pinzgau, impress with their picturesque beauty and the opportunity for many outdoor activities. The Gadauner gorge, on the other hand, offers an impressive natural landscape that attracts hikers and nature lovers alike.

The voting numbers are easy to remember: For the Schrannenmarkt you choose 0 90105 909 13, the Hacklberger Lakes can be reached at 0 90105 909 14 and for the Gadaunerer Gorge you use 0 90105 909 15. On October 9, the nine nationwide finalists will be announced.

The annual tradition of choosing the most beautiful place in the country will be presented this year on October 26th as part of a big show in ORF 2. The event is moderated by Armin Assinger and Barbara Karlich, who together with prominent jurors and moderators of the ORF state studios will present the participants and lead the audience through the exciting competitions.

On October 27th, another program under the title "So beautiful is Austria", which comes into focus all 27 locations that have been sent into the race. These programs show the variety of Austrian landscapes and offer the viewers the opportunity to get to know the nominated treasures better.
