Hiking for a good cause: Eurohike collects 8,000 euros for children

in Obertrum, Salzburg, the hiking brand Eurohike launched an impressive fundraising campaign on the occasion of its 20th anniversary. This initiative called "#Affterwork" motivated all employees to collect kilometers by hiking. For each kilometer traveled, two euros flowed into a donation fund of the association "Children have the future".

The original goal was 1,000 hiking kilometers, but the team exceeded the expectations with a total number of over 4,000 kilometers that were hiked between April and July 2024.

commitment to families in need

"I am incredibly proud of our team, which took part in this campaign with so much passion and more than doubled the goal," says Verena Sonnenberg, Managing Director of Eurofun Touristik. She emphasizes the joy of being able to hand over this amount to the association "Children's Future", which is tirelessly committed to helping families.

"Children have a future" mainly operated in the Flachgau, but has now also become active throughout Salzburg. Hannes Herbst describes the organization as close to the authorities and emphasizes that the cooperation with youth welfare offices can always help you where it is most urgently needed. Last year more than 300 children were supported, with a total of around 90,000 euros.

This fundraising campaign not only illustrates solidarity within the Eurofun Touristik team, but also the commitment to help the needy families in the region effectively. Further information on the work of "Children have future" can be found extensively on the website www.meinbezirk.at .
