Staatsbrücke, 5020 Salzburg, Österreich - in 2025 Salzburg will celebrate an important event: From May 2 to May 9, flags are raised along the state bridge, which are reminiscent of the end of the war 80 years ago and the foundation of the second republic. Each flag will have a size of 180 cm in width and 120 cm in height. A total of twelve artistically designed flags are attached to both sides of the state bridge, while the ends of the bridge are adorned by the traditional red and white-red flag. Artists can design either single motifs or a series of flags, whereby the lion's share of the designs is rewarded. There is a fee of 1,000 euros for each implemented flag draft, which creates an incentive for the creation of innovative and memorable designs.

The best designs are selected by an independent jury after the submission period on February 25, 2025, with a final decision until March 30, 2025.
