Haribo opens its first shop in the Donau Zentrum Vienna – a sweets paradise!

On April 4, 2025, Haribo opened its first shop in Vienna, the city's largest shopping center, the Donau Zentrum. This new location is part of the company's expansion strategy and represents a significant addition to the sweet offerings in Austria. The shop covers an area of 165 square meters and offers both national and international products from Haribo and Maoam. This also includes vegetarian and vegan options, which take into account the growing trend towards more conscious nutrition.

Visitors to the Haribo store can look forward to a colorful selection of confectionery, including the latest product lines and popular classics. There are also special offers and surprise boxes available on site, which provide additional attractiveness. A special attraction is the candy bar, where customers can put together their own mixes, an invitation to be creative when snacking.

The shopping center in view

The Donau Zentrum is impressive not only because of its size with over 100,000 square meters of sales space, but also because of the large number of visitors. Every year the shopping center attracts almost 19 million people who can choose from a wide range of shops and services. The opening of the Haribo shop helps to further enrich the shopping experience. With the new location, there are now a total of four Haribo sales outlets in Austria, which also complement the existing shops in the Haribo factory outlet in Linz and in the designer outlets in Parndorf and Salzburg.

Haribo has established itself as the global market leader in the fruit gum and licorice sector and is present with its products in over 120 countries. Production takes place at 16 locations in ten countries, supported by over 8,500 employees. The constant expansion of the product range through new confectionery products and strategic acquisitions of quality brands underlines the company's commitment to meeting the diverse tastes and preferences of customers worldwide. The focus on country-specific flavors in particular inspires consumers and ensures that Haribo continues to gain market share.

With the new branch in Vienna, Haribo is taking another step to further establish the brand in Austria and beyond and to reflect what has been true for over 100 years: “Haribo makes children happy, and adults too!” The shop's opening hours are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
