While the young fencers in Pongau competed in the traditional Karl Perticka youth tournament, other members were also challenged at the international all -star Challenge in Reutlingen in Germany. The Fecht Club Hallein was also well represented among the girls of the U14. Valentina Schluder made a strong premiere and fought bravely until the last goal against Ylvie Ranacher from Graz. Julia Hofmann was also strong, but had to give up a Slovak opponent. The performance of Martha Lechner, who came across Ranacher in the semi -finals, was particularly impressive. After an exciting battle, she took third place and fell into the sub -quantities of the top performance.

The coach Sebastian Lechner praised the achievements of his team: "Overall, a great performance by our young athletes in an excellently organized tournament." Such successes in the region are both an indication of the numerous talents and for the committed young coach.

In the meantime, Beatrix Umlauf and Johannes Pavic showed the Allstar Challenge in Reutlingen that international competitions also play an important role in development. Circulation competed against 117 starters and reached a respectable 60th place, while Pavic fought into the main competition among 177 participants and took 95th place. Her achievements were also recognized by the trainer Lechner: "We congratulate both athletes on this good tournament appearance."
