Revolution in MRI technology: faster, precise, better for patients!

A groundbreaking progress in medical imaging is celebrated in the Vienna Health Association! The Donaustadt and Floridsdorf clinics have upgraded their MRI devices with state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI). This was carried out due to the promising successes in the imaging diagnostics, as already explained in the report by press.wien.gv.at. The new technologies enable drastic shortening of the examination times. An MRI examination of the knee can now be carried out in just 8 minutes instead of 15 minutes as before-a time saving of up to 73 %!

This increase in efficiency due to the AI-based reconstruction not only means faster diagnoses, but also more comfort for the patient. The shortened examination times reduce the load caused by noise levels and the need to keep silent for a long time. Dr. Helmut Ringl, board member of the Institute for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology of the Donaustadt Clinic, said that the new technology has been in use for a month and, especially when examining the brain, the spine and the joints, provides outstanding results. In addition, an optimization of scheduling and reducing the waiting times for the patients is sought, as shown in the report by press.gv.at.

parking for patients

For the patients of the Donaustadt Clinic, paid parking spaces are available. The first 20 minutes are free of charge, then EUR 2.00 per hour started. Payment of the parking fees is possible before the exit to cash machines in the clinic. Particularly important for acute cases: injured or acute patients can be brought to the accident outpatient clinic via a special entrance. A timely payment of the parking fees and compliance with the road traffic regulations are crucial, as is mentioned on Klinik-Donaustadt.Gesundheitsverbund.at.
