Austria's company: now secure up to 25,000 euros for further training!
Austrian companies now have the option of applying to up to 25,000 euros in funding for the digital and sustainable training of their employees. This initiative was launched by Economic Minister Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer (ÖVP) in order to strengthen the competitiveness of the domestic economy. The funding comes in the form of Skills Scheck, which offer low -threshold access to financial support for qualification measures. A total of four million euros will be invested in the competence expansion of the Austrian economy, as Oe24
The new measures are aimed at companies of all legal forms with branches in Austria, including small and medium-sized companies as well as large companies. So far, over 16 million euros have been invested in similar funding, which led to the issue of 7,712 Skills Scheck. The funding is 50 percent of the external further training costs, but a maximum of 5,000 euros per check.
funding area and main topics
The focus of further training includes both ecological and digital skills. Topics such as hydrogen technology, photovoltaics and electromobility fall under the area of ecological sustainability. Management skills in sustainable energy management should also be promoted. At the same time, the focus is on digital skills, including programming, IT security and web design. This information is supplemented by the FFG , which describes the goals of the funding.
For companies, they have to focus on at least one of the following areas: ecological sustainability or digitization. Further training is intended to build professional know-how in order to be able to use the respective technologies effectively.
The importance of further training
The relevance of vocational training is also underlined by Mariana Kühnel, the deputy general secretary of the Austria Chamber of Commerce. She emphasizes that in economically challenging times, important skills for digital and ecological transformation are essential. The role of artificial intelligence in particular is emphasized as a critical factor for competitiveness. Hattmannsdorfer also announced that the funding should also serve to support skilled workers in companies when changing to a sustainable and digitized economy, such as ots.at reported.
In total, companies can apply for up to five skills Scheck, which enables a maximum amount of 25,000 euros in grants. With this new initiative, the Austrian government is trying to actively promote the transformation to digital and ecological economy and thus create future -proof jobs.
