Löwensafari in Wels: 30 works of art to be amazed and discover!
In the coming year, the city of Wels will be the scene of an exciting event: Planing the three Lions clubs in the region to revitalize the cityscape with 30 artistically designed lion figures. This initiative, which takes place from June to October, not only follows an aesthetic approach, but also a social purpose. The lions should serve as an "eye -catcher" in the city center and spread the message of commitment to art and business.
The motto of the action is "the lions are going on". Franz Grillmair, President of Lions Club Wels-Pollheim, explains that every statue that weighs about 40 kilos and is made of synthetic resin can be sold for 3,000 euros. The profit from this sale flows into social projects that the Lions want to support clubs in the region. "The artistically painted statues not only attract the views of the passers -by, but also arouse interest in our social commitment," continues Grillmair. Mayor Andreas Rabl (FPÖ) confirmed the importance of this initiative: "It is important that the scenery is enriched by such creative projects."
Interactive Löwensafari
A special feature of this event is the opportunity for visitors to actively participate. By discovering the various lion statues, people can choose their favorites and take photos. Interactive elements that enrich experience are also planned. QR codes are attached to the statues, through which you can get more information about the works of art. Via a digital voting system, participants can vote for their favorite lion, which makes the whole thing even more exciting.
In addition, competitions are part of the program, in which the participants can win attractive prizes. Peter Jungreithmair, Managing Director of Wels Marketing and Tourism, emphasizes that these art and cultural objects not only enliven the streets, but also strengthen the sense of community.
The combination of art, social engagement and entertaining activities makes this project a unique experience for the entire region. It is to be hoped that the Löwensafari will bring the incentive for more visitors and helps to make the important social concerns of the Lions clubs known. Further details on this exciting campaign are in a recent report www.meinbezirk.at to be found.
