27 new nursing assistants: a successful conclusion in Gmunden

at the end of September 2024 was a special day for the Salzkammergut Clinic in Gmunden. A total of 27 graduates received their diploma as nursing assistants and nursing assistants at the school for health and nursing (GUKPS). In this group, 25 women and two men provided the majority. Particularly gratifying: Two of the diplomands completed their training with the "excellent success".

The ceremonial ceremony, which took place in a festive framework, began with a brief review of the years of training. The diplomas were presented by various leaders, including Mag. Karl Lehner from the Upper Austria Gesundheitholding and Doris Reischenböck, location manager of the GUKPS Gmunden.

The graduates came from two different training channels. One class completed her training full -time, while the other group recommends the possibility of part -time training. This shows the flexible training offer of the GUKPS, which takes into account different life situations.

After passing their examination, 19 graduates immediately strengthen the nursing staff at the Salzkammergut Klinikum Gmunden and in Vöcklabruck. The other graduates also have exciting options in front of them: some start their career in senior facilities, others in rehabilitation clinics. In addition, some take the chance to enter the third semester of the Bachelor's degree in health and nursing at the University of Applied Sciences in Vöcklabruck.

The offer for training in nursing professions remains attractive. If you are interested in training as a nursing assistant, you have the opportunity to apply for part -time training in Vöcklabruck and Gmunden by December 13, 2024. In addition, the application phase for starting the second year of training runs until December 6, 2024 or February 28, 2025 for Bad Ischl and Vöcklabruck. From January 7, 2025, young people interested in care have the chance to apply for the training of "care artists" in Gmunden.
