Revital month in Upper Austria: clear out and do good for the environment and society
In October, the action month is celebrated in October under the motto "create space and do good". This initiative offers residents the perfect opportunity to clear out their apartments and at the same time do something positive for the environment and society. Everyone knows it: cupboards and shelves sources of things that have not been used for a long time. If you have well -preserved toys, household items or small furniture, you should know that this can become valuable resources for others.
The "Revital" project that has been active since 2009 enables functional and well-preserved items to be submitted in the Upper Austrian old-fashioned collection centers (ASZ). These items are then sold in Revital shops, where they get a second chance. "Often superfluous products that have cost a lot of resources and energy are simply thrown away, even though they can still be useful. With Revital, we promote resource conservation and at the same time create jobs," explains the environmental and climate councilor Stefan Kaineder.
The offer of Revital
There are a total of 28 Revital shops in Upper Austria that offer a wide range, including household goods, furniture, sports equipment and electrical items. The high -quality, certified products at fair prices offer consumers the opportunity to buy sustainably. As Mayor Roland Wohlmuth emphasizes, the ASZ and Revital have an important role in waste management: "With our project we make an important contribution to avoiding waste." The submission of objects is not only possible in the action month, but all year round to the ASZ.
The Revital project, which is also socially committed, creates jobs for people in difficult social situations. Around 556 jobs were created in this context, whereby 401 were arranged directly in the shops and 155 in the preparation companies. This social-ecological program not only offers the opportunity to avoid garbage, but also ensures fair jobs.
a sustainable approach and the Revital box
The Revital Box was introduced to make the delivery even easier. Citizens can use this reusable cardboard box to collect smaller objects such as dishes or toys that can be easily handed over to the ASZ. This measure supports the pre -sorting and increases the opportunities for reuse of still usable goods.
In October, the initiative calls on all Upper Austrians to clear out their households. "Every functional object that you donate contributes to the protection of resources and supports our common goal of reducing the mountains of garbage," said the organizers. If you are looking for information on the submission of objects, on the website www.revitalistgenial.at Foundig.
The Revital month offers both an opportunity to make space and a tangible contribution to promoting the circular economy and the sustainable development of the region.
