Rosa, the daughter of Julia Krusch and Thomas Hummelberger, needs an oxygen supply around the clock. "This brings us great challenges in everyday life," reported her mother Julia. The first few months in particular were characterized by hospital stays, including two emergency operations. "Overall, we spent more than 40 weeks in the hospital, half of them in the intensive care unit," says the father, who emotionally describes the exertion of the situation.

A reporter from Meinverkirk visited the family during their stay in the "Kokon" in Rohrbach, a rehabilitation center for children. Here Rosa made remarkable progress and proved that despite all the difficulties, she has a strong will to live. "She is such a happy nature, laughs in the morning when she wakes up," says Julia Stolz.

In order to improve Rosa's quality of life, the parents are facing high expenses. The little pink must be fed through a gastric tube and around 10,000 euros are required for a special probe cessation in Graz. There are also therapy costs for physiotherapy, speech therapy and osteopathy for additional financial burden.
