UNOS cheers: With first -class result, the new voice of the entrepreneurs!

In the 2025 Chamber of Commerce, the entrepreneurs: Inner platform UNOS, which belongs to the NEOS party, achieved an impressive result: they were able to increase their votes from 2.7 percent to 5.3 percent and thus achieve 241 mandates in various specialist organizations of the Chamber of Commerce. This choice shows that a change in the thinking of the entrepreneurs takes place in Austria. "The time of black and see in the Chamber of Commerce is over. We are looking at a pink future with confidence," said UNOS federal spokesman Michael Bernhard, pleased with the success of his list, which turned to voters with over twice as many candidates. At the same time, the ÖVP Economic Association, which received 50.2 percent of the votes in the elections, stagnated a decline in 54 percent five years ago. The Social Democrats also suffered losses with a decline from 20.0 to 16.5 percent. In this agitated environment, the NEOS list UNOS, the freedom economy and the Greens were able to record clear gains. UNOS achieved 72 seats and thus exceeded the older Neos representation of 5.7 percent. The freedom economy was able to increase its share of votes to 7.2 percent, while the Greens increased to 15.7 percent. Overall, the scan of the mandates let the distribution in the Vienna Chamber of Commerce after five years to 695 mandates for the Economic Association and 274 for the SPÖ, with the Greens 142, the freedom economy 92 and the UNOS 72 mandates, such as Exxpress reported.

Michael Bernhard emphasizes that the success of UNOS is based on the intensive conversations with entrepreneurs in which the needs for more freedom and less bureaucracy were clearly expressed. This trend not only shows a shift in power conditions, but also an answer to the growing needs of the economically active population in Austria at a time when the turnout is considered low.
