Swimmers of SC Steyr shine at the Vöcklabruck Meeting
Last weekend, the swimmers of SC Steyr were able to show impressive performance at the 37th Vöcklabrucker Raiffeisenbankmeeting. A total of eleven girls and five boys took part in this two -day competition. The event was associated with a lot of excitement for the athletes, especially during the exciting Australian final, in which the fastest swimmers left the slowest from the competition in every run. This caused additional drama because the starts took place every three minutes.
The third place was particularly remarkable, which the former Steyr swimmer Franz Pühringer took to men. This event attracted numerous spectators who were happy with the athletes about their progress and pursued the exciting competitions.

Another Highlight of the event was the 4 × 50 meter freestyle relay race, in which swimmers from various clubs, which are normally competitors. Annika Lettner triumphed with Marie Saggeder from ASV Linz, who had previously won the Australian finale, and thus secured the gold medal. Katrin Fischer also performed strongly and won the bronze medal with her team.
The individual services of the athletes of SC Steyr were also remarkable. All girls of competition group II from the 2014 vintage were able to reach their personal bests over the 50 meter freestyle. Johanna Lettner even swam under the 40-second mark and ended her run with a time of 39.67 seconds, which brought her fifth place in her age group.
SARA AUSEMAYR achieved a sensational increase of 13 seconds on the route over 200 meters of chest, where she won ninth place in her age group with a time of 4: 05.98. In addition, she took third place over 50 meters of chest. Other young talents such as Jakob Schinko, Simon Medinger, Felix Maresch, Luzia Wegmayr and Nico Pontoni were able to improve their competition times in the various disciplines.

The performance continued: Hannah Feigl secured bronze over 50 meters back, while Simon Medinger took third place over 50 meters butterfly and also won silver over 50 meters back. Jakob Schinko won the silver medal over 50 meters of butterfly, and Jakob Altendorfer, born in 2015, managed to win bronze over 100 and 50 meters of chest three times.
