Musical Advent calendar in Grein: Sing and enjoy together!

grein. The musical advent calendar will return this year again and again opens its doors from December 1 to 23 for a festive experience full of music. This popular mini concert series, which was initiated by Markus Pöcksteiner last year, enjoyed great popularity and attracted more than 2,000 visitors. Supported by ORF, special value is placed on singing together this year.

The event starts daily at 6 p.m. and ends at 6.15 p.m. During this short period of time, the audience witnesses duets, trios, flute and violin sounds as well as appearances by women's and male choirs that are performed in front of the picturesque city theater Grein. Clubs and music groups from the area, including Grein, Bad Kreuzen, St. Nikola, Saxen and Mitterkirchen, enrich the musical program.

To round off the experience, 14 local clubs have taken on the task of supervising the punch stand every day. Here the guests have the opportunity to fortify themselves with hot drinks and fresh pastries. Thanks to a large, protective umbrella with standing tables, the musical performances can be enjoyed in any weather.

Another highlight is expected on December 2 if the state studio Upper Austria will make a film contribution. This is broadcast on one of the following days in the program "Upper Austria today". A special event will take place on December 20, when a singing of traditional and new Christmas carols is organized under the direction of Markus Pöcksteiner. Anyone who enjoys the singing is welcome - text books are available to ensure the support of the singers.
