Landshut supports Lebenshilfe: 2,500 euros for Neue Schattenplatz

in the small community of Landshut, which belongs to the municipality of Unterweißenbach, a large flea market was recently held. This event, which is organized every five years, brought in the considerable sum of 2,500 euros this year. These income was now cordially handed over to the Freistadt/Unterweißenbach working group of Lebenshilfe Upper Austria.

The ceremonial donation was handed over in the café "Laying time", which is closely linked to the Lebenshilfe workshop in Unterweißenbach. This place is located directly on the popular Johannesweg, which is known for its picturesque hikes. Wilhelm Hießl, the chairman of the working group, was extremely pleased with the support of the village community. "This generous donation will help people with intellectual impairment that work here in the workshop," he said.

create a shadow place

A particularly important use of the donation is the creation of a shadow place in the garden of the Unterweißenbach workshop. "The money is used to finance part of the material costs for the roofing," said Hießl. This measure should not only improve working conditions, but also offer an inviting way to snap fresh air and stay outdoors.

The construction project is realized in cooperation with volunteers and members of the Freistadt/Unterweißenbach working group. This group is committed to volunteering and contributes to increasing people's quality of life with impairments. Such initiatives are important to strengthen the community and offer everyone involved better support.

The donation and the planned construction project are positive examples of cohesion and commitment in the region. The Landshut village community shows how much good can be achieved through solidarity and joint efforts. For the future of the workshop and its employees, this shadow place could be a real ray of hope.
