Inauguration of the new extinguishing water container in Ebersegg - fire brigades combined

In the St. Ulrich/Ebersegg region, an important fire brigade project was successfully completed. On Saturday, November 23, a new extinguishing water container was inaugurated, which was decided almost a decade as part of the danger defense and development planning (GEP). This is not just a simple measure, but an essential step to improve fire fighting in the area.

The newly built water tank is located at a strategically important location in the area of operations of the Ebersegg volunteer fire brigade. A total of eight fire departments had been mobilized to fill the container to implement this "monster project". With a relay line and eight pumps, a considerable amount of 100,000 liters of water over a distance of almost two kilometers, including 250 meters of altitude, was pumped from the Ramingbach to the new memory. The entire process took about two hours.

winter slump and follow -up

Despite the surprising onset of winter, the fire brigades showed great skill and teamwork. Thanks to the use of snow chains, they were able to carry out the use safely and efficiently. According to this demanding task, everyone involved met in the Eiguberhof, where they strengthened themselves with a traditional bratl and celebrated the successful completion of the long -term project.

The new fire -fighting water container is now the first extinguishing aid for the surrounding objects in the "Sasser" area and thus represents a significant profit for the security of the community. The thanks to the Schörkhuber family, which provided the area for the project, is particularly emphasized, as well as to the municipality, which had provided the necessary financial resources.

In addition, the Ebersegg fire brigade made a valuable contribution by investing around 150 working hours in the construction project. The firefighters who took part in this deployment came from the following units: FF-Ebersegg, FF-Kleinraming, FF St. Ulrich, FF-Garsten, FF-Steyr (LZ5), FF-Easy, FF-Hochstrass and FF-Trattenbach.

This collective effort shows impressively how important cooperation and feeling of community are within the fire brigades. For more information on this project, See current reporting on www.meinbezirk.at .
