Georg Fessl GmbH celebrates world champions in concrete construction - a sign of the youth!

Georg Fessl GmbH in Zwettl organized an impressive celebration to honor the success of Stefan Huber and Christoph Kurz. These two young men triumphed at the World Skills 2024 in Lyon as world champion in concrete construction. The festive occasion attracted a large number of guests from politics and business, which underlines the great importance of this success.

Among the prominent guests were the MP to the state parliament Ökr Franz Mold, district captain Deputy Ms. Mag. Barbara Salzer, the WKO KommR Anne Blauensteiner MA and city councilor Josef Zlabinger. Furthermore, municipal councilor Dagmar Zinner, state guild master DI Günther Lehner as well as the directors of the Langenlois vocational school and the PTS Zwettl, Rainer Leutgöb and Eva Maria Restter, were also present. The entire workforce of Georg Fessl GmbH was delighted with its successful apprentices.

a successful concept

In his speech, Managing Director BM René Zinner MBA emphasized how crucial the focus was on the youth for the company. "Together with Mario Kitzler, in 2013 we decided to fully rely on the youth and our apprentices. At that time we had around 10 trainees in all divisions - today there are already 32!" This number speaks for itself and shows how the commitment in training not only bears human but also operational fruits.

Zinner also thanked the trainers, especially BMST. Ing. Thomas Prigl and Franz Werner, who supported Huber and briefly during their training. This support was a key to her success and has a significant accompaniment to her on her way to the world championship title.

commitment to the future

Georg Fessl GmbH is not only active in competitions, but is also involved in other social projects. In cooperation with future PTS Griesbach specialists, a gazebo was recently built for the Sleeping Beauty Park in Groß Gerung. The company thus shows that it is not only strong in competitions, but also makes a significant contribution to society.

These investments in youth are particularly important for the structural -low regions in the Waldviertel. By conveying the value of the craft and always focusing on honesty and high quality, it helps to form the next generation of specialists. The commitment and passion for the craft were impressively demonstrated by the success story of the two world champions.
