5000 euros for the ice rink: renovation after flooding begins

In September, the region experienced a devastating flood, which particularly damaged the local ice rink. The ESV Zwettl, which is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the square, is now faced with great financial challenges. But there is hope: Avia Eigl, represented by Managing Director Thomas Traxler, has handed over a donation of 5,000 euros to benefit the restoration of the ice rink.

When the donation was handed over, Heinz Lüdemann, the chairman of ESV Zwettl, and club member Benjamin Lintner visibly show. "It looks like we can start with the season for Christmas," said Lüdemann, which underlines the anticipation for the coming months. This financial support is an important step towards normality for the ice rink and the associated activities of the municipality.

The funds are urgently needed for the basic renovation work that is necessary after the flood. The ice rink plays a central role in the region's leisure activities, and rapid restoration is essential in order to be able to start operating in time before the wintry season. Avia Eigl's financial support ensures that the first work can be tackled, so that visitors will soon be allowed back on the ice.

The Avia Eigl sacrifices have made an important sign through their donation and showed how local companies can contribute directly to support their communities. This cooperation is not only a ray of hope for the ESV, but also for the population that is excited about the leisure activities on the ice rink. According to the club management, the funds are used to check the safety -related aspects of the square and to carry out necessary repairs.

The challenges are still great: the flood not only affected the surface of the ice rink, but also the technology and the infrastructure. The tension among those responsible for the ESV is noticeable, but with the support from partners like Avia Eigl, it is optimistic about the future.

For the ESV Zwettl, there is now a chance to complete the necessary work in good time before Christmas and open the ice rink for the population. This support is not only financial aid, but also an expression of solidarity in difficult times.
