Students of the organic school Schlägl experience cattle auction up close
An exciting experience was now presented for 42 students from the second year of the "Bio School Schlägl", who visited the Freistädter Rinder Competence Center. The aim of the excursion was to take part in a cattle auction. This is a valuable experience, especially for young people who are interested in agriculture.
"After all, 75 percent of our students are agricultural," said the two accompanying teachers David Keperen and Hansjörg Hofmann. This high proportion of interested students shows how important the connection between school and agricultural practice is.

The students had the opportunity not only to observe the process of auction, but also to actively participate. Melina Gahleitner, Julia Haslböck and Maria Haider took the chance to participate in the auction even with a wink in hand. This direct integration motivates the students and offers them direct insights into important agricultural processes.
The Freistädter beef competence center plays a central role in regional agriculture. Not only auctions take place here, but also numerous events and training courses that expand knowledge about animal breeding and care. Such visits are an excellent opportunity for the students to link theory and practice.
Further information on current events and educational offers can be accessed via the official website of the beef competence center. Such excursions make a decisive contribution to promoting the competencies of young people in the field of agriculture and expanding their horizons.
