Broken streets and politics: Letter to the editor causes a sensation in Arnreit

In Arnreit there are obviously great concern about the condition of the streets, not only among the residents. In a current letter to the editor, Erwin Andexlinger expresses his displeasure on the widespread defects and the lack of communication on the part of the authorities. Andexlinger, who is an enthusiastic racing cyclist, reported several badly damaged road sections to various institutions in June 2024, including the Federal Ministry, the State Council in Upper Austria and the district building authority.

The lack of feedback on his reports is particularly striking. He explains that one does not expect the "Greens", but it is surprised that other political parties, even before the upcoming elections, showed no interest in responding to the concerns of the citizens. "The people are asked for their voice, but after the election it no longer counts," says Andexlinger. This shows a clear gap between the voters and the political decision -makers.

elections and political responsibility

Andexlinger also appeals to the impending elections on September 29, 2024, in the context of which he wrote his letter to the editor. In his opinion, the politicians lack the insights that the voters are no longer unconditionally behind them. "After the election, everyone feels like the winner, while the electoral people don't want to put up with their power games anymore," he says in the letter to the editor. Andexlinger thus demands more transparency and responsibility on the part of the political representatives in dealing with the concerns of the citizens.

In times when the political decisions have far -reaching effects on the quality of life of the citizens, such charges on the inactivity of those responsible should not be underestimated. People in the region expect answers and solutions for acute problems, such as the bad road conditions.
