Ceremonial opening of the innovative brewhouse in the abbey brewery

In Aigen-Schlägl, tradition is very important, and this was recently evident in the solemn double-goat tapping in the abbey brewery. The event not only accepted the invitation to the beer lovers, but also the introduction of a state -of -the -art brewhouse that was recently opened. "We were brave!" emphasized Wolfgang Dobretzberger, the business director, while pointing out the innovative institution that was brought to life after only nine months of construction.

For the impressive redesign of the historical three -century, proud four million euros were invested. This initiative is not only a sign of trust in the future of the brewery, but also a measure of identity foundation for the company. Local companies were significantly involved in the renovation, which underlines the regional reference again.

sustainability and innovation spirit

At the opening, the governor Thomas Stelzer was also present and praised the brasserie for her innovation spirit. He emphasized how the connection between traditional brewing and the latest technology not only opens up new perspectives for enjoyment culture, but also promotes environmentally friendly practices. The new brewhouse has a capacity of 60 hectoliters per sud and relies on an intelligent heat recovery system, which therefore lowers energy consumption by up to 30 percent

An additional plus is the installed photovoltaic system that performs an output of 60 kWp. These measures clearly show that the Schlägl Abbey Brewery takes responsibility towards the environment and at the same time maintains its beer quality.

beer experience for visitors

The abbey brewery plans to offer guests exciting insights into the brewing processes. With an optimally designed route, it enables visitors to explore the new brew house without disturbing the operating processes. In the future, new exhibition areas and attractions will also expand the Schlägl Bierwelt and offer visitors a more interactive experience.

There is also a special treat for nostalgics: the old hydro -automatic control desk from 1974 will be part of the exhibition. Visitors can use it to try the control of the brewhouse themselves and thus experience history.

The double -socket 2024 was brewed for the first time in the newly opened brewery. Brewer Reinhard Bayer describes the beer as a "dark gold with copper reflexes", which impresses with an excellent combination of flavors. Especially the specific hop notes and the taste of the barley malt make the first sip a special experience. This high quality of the ingredients remains unchanged, which means that the Schlägl Abbey Brewery also preserves its first -class reputation with the new technology.

This will be a real highlight for beer lovers and will be available in stores. It is a piece of history that now sets a new standard in beer production.
