Adlerkino Haslach: Hader film and new challenges for culture

Haslach. On October 24th, the new Hader film will be shown in the Adlerkino in Haslach. But the cinema, which has been presenting films regularly since 2016, is increasingly fighting with challenges in his performances. Although there was initially a flourishing film culture, the situation is no longer the same today.

"The company never calculated financially, but with enough visitors it turned out," says Birgit Gallistl of the "Film in the Adlino Cinema" initiative. It is one of the few who continue to work for the cinema. Despite the dark times, she firmly believes that this cinema is a cultural jewel for the community.

Problems from missing film providers

An important reason for the decreasing frequency of film screenings is the termination of cooperation with the Moviemento hiking cinema. "With the hiking cinema we were able to offer real cinema quality. They brought to Haslach with film and technology," explains Gallistl. Unfortunately, the hiking cinema has stopped working, so that Blu-ray films now have to be switched, for which the rights of use must be reorganized.

In this context, the team around Gallistl plans to reduce the number of films and only offer four cinema evenings a year. "It would be a shame about this jewel," she emphasizes, and is determined to keep the cinema alive. Despite the difficulties, the initiative is determined to revitalize the cinema hall in Haslach.

In order to further promote cultural life in Haslach, an event of the Haslach cultural initiatives will take place on October 16. From 7 p.m. all interested parties are invited to keynote speeches and a cultural round table. Such actions are important to bring the community together and to strengthen interest in the cultural heritage of the place.

For the upcoming film evening, it remains to be seen how many visitors will find their way to the eagle cinema.
