Shania Bohy will be new Katharina des Seelbacher Katharinenmarkt
Last Saturday Shania Bohy was officially presented as the 13th Seelbach “Katharina”. The 23-year-old, deeply rooted in the region, was looking forward to the upcoming tasks that are associated with this special role.
"For me, the Katharinenmarkt is not just an event in the annual calendar - it is a piece of home that accompanied me all my life," said Bohy. At only two weeks she visited her first Katharinenmarkt and has been to meet every year since then, be it at the stands or at rides.
solid roots in the community
Shania Bohy has a close connection to the region. Her mother comes from Seelbach while her father comes from Reichenbach. The family ties and traditions shape their lives and grew up with her sister in a loving environment.
At the moment, Bohy is studying teaching for classes 5 to 10 at the Freiburg University of Education and has also taken on the role of pedagogical assistance in the Friedrich School in Lahr. In addition, she participated in the Seelbach open -air games and is involved in her hometown as the town leadership of the Catholic Young Community (KJG).
