A new wind blows in the museum of the city of Bad Ischl. Since October 1, 2024, Dr. Herta Neiß, an experienced historian from the Kepler University Linz, took over the management. It succeeds Maria Sams, who has shaped the museum and Leharvilla with their volunteer work for many years.

under the leadership of Dr. Neiß, together with Dr. Michael John, the museum experienced a significant redesign. This includes the introduction of a new concept that already bears the first fruits. The permanent exhibition entitled "Welcome to Hotel Austria" has been set up and is now part of the museum offer. Another area of responsibility for Dr. Neiß is the care of the Leharvilla, which is known as an important cultural site in Bad Ischl.

Farewell to Maria Sams

With the change in the line, an era ended by Maria Sams. The city of Bad Ischl was honored by the city of Bad Ischl.
