Working experience days in Ried: Discover the best training opportunities!
The upcoming professional experience days in Ried promise an exciting opportunity for prospective apprentices to learn more about their professional perspectives. On November 22nd and 23rd, this year's trade fair will take place in the Energie Ried Messhalle, where 75 exhibitors will present their training opportunities on over 2200 square meters. "There is a lot to see and to try it out," announced Josef Heißbauer, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, during a press conference.
It is particularly worth mentioning that more than 60 different apprenticeships are presented. Christoph Wiesner, head of the Ried Chamber of Commerce, pointed out that interested visitors can receive information about the companies online on an interactive exhibitor plan. There are also numbers and data on available internships that should be of interest to many students.
Current training numbers
The training landscape in the Ried district has changed in recent years. Currently, 270 companies offer 870 apprenticeships, which means a decline in the total number. End October, however, 340 open apprenticeships were reported to the AMS Ried, while only 25 are registered for apprenticeships. "With an unemployment rate of 3.6 percent, we are still in a good job in Ried," noted Wiesner.
Fischerleitner GmbH, specializing in vehicle construction, has been recruiting their apprentices at the fair for over 20 years. Karoline Fischerleitner emphasizes that the fair is an integral part of the training strategy for the company. "We take up two apprentices every year." The Scheuch Group, which wants to hire 15 new apprentices every year, also shows a similar commitment.
"We completely renewed our training workshop a few years ago," said Gerald Stockhammer from Scheuch Components GmbH, which illustrates the company's commitment to the training of young specialists. The Wintersteiger company is also one of the largest training companies in the region with 60 apprentices. Franz Gangl, responsible for the training, said that investments in teaching are necessary to secure future specialists.
Visitors to the professional experience days can not only collect information, but also speak directly to existing apprentices and get to know their personal experiences. This offers a valuable opportunity to get an insight into everyday life and the requirements of different professions.
The opening times of the fair can be found on Friday, November 22nd, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, November 23, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Energie Ried Hall 18. Further information can be found on the website from the Ried Chamber of Commerce.
