Economic reception Perg: Innovative approaches to sustainable energy efficiency

The Economics in Perg recently took a decisive step towards a more sustainable future. Over 150 entrepreneurs and stakeholders met at the WKO Perg economic reception to find out about important strategies that focus on energy efficiency and sustainability. At a time when these topics are more popular than ever, the event not only represented the challenges, but also innovative solutions that regional companies can provide a competitive advantage.

The WKO Perg organized this reception to bring different perspectives together and to show how significant energy efficiency and sustainable management are for the future of the regional economy. A example of a future -oriented approach from the region is Schlager Transport Logistik GmbH. Managing Director Hubert Schlager is not only a pioneer in the field of e-mobility, but his company was awarded the VCÖ mobility price in 2024. Schlager has set itself ambitious goals: by 2030, a large part of its truck fleet will be switched to electric motors.

inspiring approaches in the transport industry

The courage to break new ground played a central role in Schlager. "Although our drivers were initially skeptical, we decided to invest in e-trucks," he said at the reception. This decision leads to a positive rethink in the industry and promotes the development of charging infrastructure and storage solutions. However, such innovative approaches can not only be observed in the transport industry.

Another example is Gasokol GmbH under the direction of Ronald Gattringer, who focused on sustainable solar energy. With over 40 years of experience, his company produces highly efficient solar collectors that are used in various areas, especially in agriculture. Gattringer underlines the importance of the right strategy: "Companies that invest in their energy systems can become independent in the long term."

valuable information from specialist lectures

Economic reception also offered a platform for important lectures. Friedrich Mühlener, Managing Director of the IFEA Institute for Energiefahr GmbH, informed those present about the legal framework for the next 15 years with regard to the company energy future. Kurt Leonhartsberger, the regional manager for climate and energy in the Perg district, presented various strategies for energy saving and focused on possible synergies between local energy generation and efficient consumption.

Robert Mairhofer, responsible for energy and sustainability at WKO Oberösterreich, gave current insights into funding opportunities for companies and presented numerous service offers that can help companies save costs and to operate more sustainably. This information is essential to promote the perspective on a positive energy future and to support the regional companies in a sustainable orientation.

The event was not only an information platform, but also a sign of cooperation among regional actors. The exchange of experiences and best practice examples offers a valuable basis for future initiatives to promote energy efficiency and sustainability in Perg.
