The Greiner Dilettante Society is preparing for the autumn season and has a very special treat for theater lovers in the region in the program. The performance of the play "The Herzerlfesser" by Ferdinand Schmalz is just around the corner, and the anticipation is noticeable. Under the direction of Doris Happl, who is known for her professionalism, she will optimally prepare the amateurs for the challenges of the piece.

But what exactly does the audience expect? The plot of the play is about an eerie event: immediately before the opening of a new consumption temple, a heartless woman's body is pulled out of the swampy soil. History is based on the real events of the so -called "heart -eater", a cannibalist murderer who frightened Styria in the 18th century. Ferdinand Schmalz succeeds in transferring this creepy myth with voice joke and black humor into modern times and at the same time practicing ingenious criticism of capitalism.
