Boysday at the HLW Perg: Boys explore exciting career paths

On November 14th, the second “Boysday” took place at the HLW Perg, which took place from 8 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. On this day, interested boys had the opportunity to sniff into different professional fields and to gain valuable insights into the diverse career opportunities that are open to them.

The event attracted numerous students who were able to visit different workshops in a relaxed atmosphere. Not only was information about different professions, but the boys were encouraged to discover their interests and talents. In this way, the participants should be given a realistic insight into the world of work.

diverse workshops for the boys

The workshops were led by experts from practice and included a wide range of topics. The students had the opportunity to learn practical skills and gain experience in areas such as technology, computer science and creative professions. Such events are valuable support for the professional orientation of young people and help to make sound decisions about their future.

This initiative is of particular importance because it questions stereotypical role models and encourages the boys to be interested in professions that traditionally are considered to be “atypical”. A wide range of access to various professional fields helps to arouse interest in a variety of opportunities and to promote individuality.

The Burb Schetag at the HLW Perg exemplifies a modern professional orientation and shows how schools can actively help to make professional life more appealing for boys. Such events not only help with decision making, but also in strengthening the self -confidence of the participants.
