Culture care in Linz-Land: Brass music clubs are awarded

On September 24th, an outstanding honorary event took place in the stone hall of the country house. On this occasion, Governor Thomas Stelzer honored a total of 64 brass music bands from Upper Austria, which were recognized for their remarkable achievements in concert and march reviews.

In his speech, Stelzer emphasized: "Brass music is an essential part of the cultural landscape of Upper Austria, it is part of our cultural and musical identity." This emphasized how important this music tradition is for the region and that the quality of the brass music bands is a musical business card for Upper Austria.

special awards for brass music clubs

The Eggendorf band received the 2nd honor, while the Musikverein Ansfelden was awarded the 3rd honor. The Musikverein St. Florian and the St. Marien local chapel were happy about their 5th honor, while the Musikverein Jung St. Marien and the Nettingsdorf plant band proudly received their 10th honor. These recognition reflects the commitment and diligence that the individual chapels invest in their musical work.

The event was not only the appreciation of musical skills, but also the appreciation of the social and cultural importance that brass music has for life in Upper Austria. The numerous honors impressively show how firmly the brass music is anchored in regional culture and the high importance it is for the community.

The outstanding performance of these clubs, which not only offer musical quality, is visible by these honors, but also actively contribute to the cultural identity of Upper Austria. The influence of brass music goes beyond the stages of the concerts and extends into the heart of the community.

This all illustrates the importance of the brass music clubs as the cultural ambassador of the country. The support of the country and the recognition in the form of honors are essential steps to keep traditions alive and to keep brass music alive in the future.
