The little witch is enthusiastic: Theater am Inn enchants with a children's piece

The Theater am Inn, known as Thami, celebrated a magical premiere with the performance of "The Little Hexe". The premiere took place on Saturday afternoon in the schoolaula in Kirchdorf and was immediately sold out. Bärbel Geitner, who has been helping with the organization for years, expressed her joy that demand was so high. The children and their families were excited to experience the well -known story of Otfried Preussler on stage.

The story begins with the little witch, played by Dana Unterbuchberger, who tries to rain to witches. The raven Abraxas, represented by Katrin Birnes, immediately causes excitement on the stage. The idea develops quickly: the little witch wants to dance with the big witches on the Blocksberg, but is quickly caught by the Muhme Rumpumpel (Charlotte Lequay). This leads to her punishment, and within a year she has to learn to become a good witch to take part in the next Walpurgis night.

interactive elements for the audience

A highlight of the piece was the integration of the audience. The director Sebastian Nieler, who took on this role for the first time, wanted the children to be able to actively participate in the action. So he made sure that the audience in the witch house could sing the first stanza of "Hansel and Gretel" together. The two cheeky boys who disturbed the snowman figures were also “rejected” by the audience with snowballs. This caused a lot of fun and interaction during the idea.

The staging was not only convincing by the acting performance of the children, who switched between different roles at the age of eight to 16, but also with an impressive stage design. Philipp Geitner, who was responsible for the design, made the effortlessly rotating stage design appear and so the witch forest turned into a witch house in no time. Such effects, combined with sound and lighting technology by Arnold Unterholzner and Nick Lenk, created a magical atmosphere that inspired the audience.

The youngest actors showed a lot of talent and self -confidence. Lisa Lenk, who acted as a prompt, expressed her enthusiasm for the children's achievements: "It is impressive how the group looks confidently in their roles, and the nervousness was hardly felt." When the children stepped onto the stage in their double roles, they did a lot of joy, which made the heart of the audience beat faster.

The performances of "The Little Hexe" will continue next weekend, November 30th and December 1st. If you still want to get cards for the last performances, you should be quick because the demand is still high. Tickets are available on the website www.thami.de.
