An exciting youth workshop recently took place in the municipality of Schlüßlberg, where the opinions and ideas of the young people were presented. This event was based on a comprehensive survey carried out in collaboration with the Spes Future Academy. The aim was to find out what motivated young people between the ages of 12 and 18. With 53 respondents, which makes up around 30 percent of the target group, a good picture of the interests and wishes of young people was obtained.
The results of the survey were consistently positive, as around 75 percent of participants stated that they found the existing leisure activities specifically for young people in Schlüßlberg to be good to very good. Nevertheless, suggestions for improvement were also considered. A frequently mentioned concern was the improvement of the fun court, a meeting point for sporting activities. It was also important to the young people that cycling connections were improved, especially towards Grieskirchen.
Innovative ideas from the youth workshop
The opinions collected were able to be concretized in the youth workshop. The young people had the opportunity to express their creativity by turning their suggestions into models. It was impressive to see how committed the young participants were to their projects. The ideas ranged from a volleyball court with a digital scoreboard to a cozy youth café and exciting mountain bike trails in the forest. Such suggestions demonstrate a high degree of initiative and innovative spirit.
The final presentation of the models to the youth committee was a crucial moment. Here the young people were able to present their work and ideas, which are now being tested for feasibility. The community emphasizes the great importance of this involvement, because the active participation of young people can promote a strong sense of community. It becomes clear that the contributions of young people are valuable and are taken seriously.
