Peace in Advent: Middle school students shape living advent calendars
The Middle School Neukirchen am Walde came up with something very special. In order to celebrate the pre -Christmas season, the students transform their school buildings into a large Advent calendar. With a lot of creativity and commitment, they design 24 window pictures that symbolize peace.
This initiative not only brings a festive mood to school, but also gives the students the importance of peace in a playful and artistic way. The window pictures will be visible daily from December 1st and will literally shine when they are uncovered at the window.
artistic inspiration and teaching process
The impressive works of art were created as part of religious education. Under the direction of Walpurga Dorfer, the students took up the medieval art form of the glass window design. This method not only offers the students a creative expression, but also lets them immerse themselves in the history of art. In this way, well -founded knowledge of the symbolism and the techniques of stained glass was conveyed, which was a fascinating experience for many students.
The project is more than just a school activity. It challenges the students to develop their ideas in a creative way and to expand their artistic skills. The result will create a harmonious and inspiring atmosphere at the school, which will delight both students and visitors.
In this sense, the advent calendar will not only contribute to the aesthetic beautification of the school building, but also convey an important message: peace is of great importance, especially in the hectic pre -Christmas period.
