This coming weekend, on Saturday, 19th and Sunday, October 20, 2024, the Schlossmuseum in Peuerbach opens its doors for an extraordinary event: the Super Galactic Family weekend. An exciting and instructive program for the whole family is offered here.

For everyone who stops by on Saturday, the tours of the exhibition “Kosmos. New Worlds - Georg von Peuerbach and his legacy” begin at 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. In these tours there is an abundance of information about the famous astronomer Georg von Peuerbach and his remarkable inventions, such as the folding sun watch and the astrolabium. It is a unique opportunity to learn more about the historical roots of astronomy and how Peuerbach's work influenced our view of the sky.

Special tours on Sunday

Sunday offers special special tours that are aimed at children from around 10 years and adults. These take place at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and deal with the exciting topic "basic forces, fields & particles in our universe". This leadership is not only informative, but also accessible and fundamentally conveys important concepts of physics and astronomy in an entertaining way. Questions are treated like: What types of particles do we consist of? What exactly is light? And what can be radiation?

Every tour will provide their participants with practical information and new knowledge, and afterwards there is an entertaining quiz for everyone who will be a lot of fun. The entire duration of the tour is about two hours, including a break and the quiz

There are reduced admissions for families: a family card costs only 12 euros, and with the Upper Austria. Family card even only 9 euros. Such opportunities are ideal for spending an entertaining and educational day with the family.
