Unforgettable bike tour: three days in the picturesque Salzkammergut

This year an exciting bike tour through the picturesque Salzkammergut was on the program. After the successful circulation of Lake Constance two years ago, 22 enthusiastic cyclists went on August 15 on a three -day tour that began in Salzburg. After a hearty breakfast, the participants started the first stage.

The tour led past the pretty Fuschlsee and the popular Wolfgangsee, with the aim of reaching the Traunsee. After about 110 kilometers, the cyclists finally reached Altmünster, where they stayed in a hotel with a fantastic view of the Traunsee. The warm temperatures invited to end the day on the terrace of the hotel.

individual adventures and challenges

The second stage was shorter, around 50 kilometers, and made it possible for the participants to design it. Many used this opportunity to swim in the refreshing lakes, while some adventurous participants, including Waldner Josef, Leitner Willfried and Mauracher Christian, decided to climb the nearby Traunstein. They had to overcome impressive 3,000 meters of altitude, which certainly brought them to their limits. In the evening everyone gathered again in Weyregg on Lake Attersee to review the day at a cozy dinner.

The last day led the group back to Salzburg. Due to uncertain weather conditions, they shortened the stage to about 65 kilometers. Despite the weather uncertainties, the participants enjoyed the return trip through the breathtaking Salzkammergut. In summary, the excursion was not only challenging, but also sociable and entertaining. The combination of intensive cycling and relaxing breaks ensured a successful balance.

Especially during the bus ride with Taxi Willi, the fun was not neglected, and the positive feedback suggests that a similar tour will take place in the future. The memories of spectacular views and shared experiences will certainly remain in the minds of the participants for a long time.
