Services in Austria: Celebrate the faith with us!

Next Sunday, February 9th, there will be two important services on television in Austria's media. Like Kap reports, servus TV from 8.55 a.m. Abbot Pius Maurer will lead the service, while the monastery choir and the Schrambach recorder ensemble with musical performances, including works by Giovanni Battista Casali and Alessandro Scarlatti, ensure a festive atmosphere. At the same time, ORF III and the Austrian regional radios will show a Eucharistic celebration from the Eferding parish in Upper Austria from 10 a.m.

The fair in Eferding is under the direction of Pastor Klaus Dopler. Here the church choir together with a wind ensemble under the direction of Valentin Pittrof musically designs the celebration. At this service, too, special works such as the German Mass of Heinrich Walder will be heard, supplemented by songs from the praise of God. This celebration is part of the future process of the Diocese Linz, which was launched in the Eferdingerland parish on January 1, 2023 to advance the gospel with fewer staff and financial resources, such as Worship . The aim is to maintain a lively community culture and to promote the connection to God.
