Ceremonial opening of the new school center in Hartkirchen: a milestone for the community

Hartkirchen. The new school center in Hartkirchen was officially opened with a festive event last weekend. In this modern building, the elementary school and middle school are now accommodated, and it will also serve as a meeting place for local associations outside of school. This multifunctional use underlines the importance of this project for the community.

After a long wait, which included a total of 20 years of considerations, eight years of planning and four years of construction work, around 340 students have now moved into the new premises together with their teachers. Impressive 14 million euros were invested in cooperation with the state of Upper Austria, which shows the great effort and commitment to education in Hartkirchen.

The solemn act and the guests of honor

The opening ceremony took place in the new sports hall of the school center, which attracted numerous guests of honor. Among them were prominent members of the state parliament such as Astrid Zehetmair and Heidi Strauss from the ÖVP and Michael Gruber from the FPÖ. The presence of representatives of the educational directorate, the SQM, the property developer, the parent association as well as the students and teachers gave the event a special grade.

As part of the celebrations, Mayor Wolfram Moshammer (SPÖ) ceremoniously handed over the key to the two headmaster, Florian Groß from Mittelschule and Michaela Angster from the elementary school. This symbolic act marked a significant moment for the community and its educational institutions.

After a series of speeches and contributions from the students, there was also a blessing for the new school building, donated by Pastor Paulinus. Mayor Moshammer was enthusiastic about the successful implementation of his heart project and thanked everyone involved for their tireless efforts, which led to the realization of this important facility in Hartkirchen.

Overall, the new school center not only represents a structural progress, but also stands for community, cooperation and a clear focus on education for the future, which is of great importance for the region.
