In the exciting final of the 2nd National League, the weightlifts of the SK Vöest Linz II were able to triumphant. Against the second team of the WKG Innviertel, which had to compete without some of their best athletes, the Linz team achieved an impressive victory. With a total number of 3208.73 points, they clearly set themselves away from the Innviertlers, which came to 2922.58 points. This marks the fifth team title for the Linzer, who had previously celebrated success in the mixed Bundesliga and women's Bundesliga as well as in the regional league and Upper Austrian Landesliga.
The Innviertler threw obvious difficulties into the race because they had to do without important top performers such as Matthias Perik, Lena Raidel and Benjamin Nezmah. Despite these setbacks, Florian Reisecker was the best lifter in the Innviertel and achieved remarkable 308.08 points. Christian Landlinger from Schärding, who mastered 150 kg in pumping for the first time, delivered a particularly gratifying performance. Petra Schmutzer from Salzburg also showed her strength and was able to raise 143 kg in a duel in a week after the women's Bundesliga final. The experienced substitute Stefan Moser rounded off the team with a result of 189 kg in a duel, while Maximilian Moldaschl with 253 kg did not quite meet his expectations.
