The police investigation led to a 29-year-old man with Egyptian roots, who acted supplier for the detained. This was apparently deeply rooted in the adhesive milieu. The authorities then prompted searching orders that were obtained in cooperation with the Ried public prosecutor in the Innkreis. The raids carried out in several objects in Braunau were discovered almost two and a half kilograms of different drugs. In addition to half a kilogram of synthetic drugs such as amphetamine and MDMA, the ensured substances also included considerable amounts of cash and material for packaging drugs.

In addition to the main suspect, two other men aged 29 and 23, who were in a so -called drug bunker at the time of the search were in a allotment garden. The investigators found that the 29-year-old main perpetrator, who was without work, had been ordering drugs for a long time and delivered them to an address in Lower Bavaria.

The drug orders included considerable quantities, including one kilogram of amphetamine, over a kilogram of marijuana and around 70 grams of cocaine. These goods were then probably smuggled to Austria by car. From his place of residence and the allotment garden, the main suspect dismissed the drugs to customers who come mainly from the area of Braunau am Inn.
