Braunau receives Blackburn Choir: Advent music and regional encounters

The Blackburn People’s Choir from England returns to the Innviertel and brings a happy Advent mood to the Braunau district with his melodies. This is an exciting message for music lovers and everyone who wants to experience the pre -Christmas season with contemplative sounds.

The choir, which is based in Blackburn in the northwest of England, has a special preference for traveling and listing in extraordinary locations. Whether in old church ruins or even in prisons, the singers are always looking for unique appearances. This year you will take part in several events in the region to experience the local culture and the festive atmosphere of the Advent markets. Especially after their last visit in 2018, during which many positive impressions were left with the choir members, they are particularly looking forward to their return.

On Thursday, December 5, the choir will start with a performance in a retirement home in the district. Immediately afterwards, at 6.30 p.m., you can be heard from the Simbacher Advent. Friday, December 6th, leads the sociable team to Salzburg before they appear twice in the region on Saturday, December 7th: at 2 p.m. at the Advent market in Altheim and at 6 p.m. at the Braunau Advent market. Here she is supported by the local choir da Capo Non Fine.

The Sunday, December 8th, is another highlight where the choir sings in Weng. After the musical framework of the fair at 10 a.m.

singing workshop for children

A special offer will take place on Monday, December 9th, when the choir director organizes a singing workshop for the children of the NMS Braunau. This is an excellent opportunity for the children to learn from experienced singers and improve their vocal skills. Afterwards, the kids present the newly learned songs at the Fischbrunnen in Braunau at 11 a.m., which will surely be an exciting moment for the participants and spectators.
