Over 200 women at the Waldviertel women's run: a festival of movement
In a special event that celebrated both nature and female sports spirit, over 200 women took part in the Waldviertel Frauenlauf in Edelhof. Instead of running around the bet, the event drummed the community together and created an atmosphere that was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. The route led through picturesque landscapes, past an idyllic pond and over natural paths that highlighted the beauty of the Waldviertel.
The competition was marked by women, despite the occasionally attempts by men. The organizers have ensured that the competition classes were divided fairly, with trophies in every category that ranged from young to young. The participants were able to compete at the distances of 2.5 kilometers, 5 kilometers and Nordic walking. In the overall ranking of the 2.5-kilometer run, Sabrina Temper impressed with a time of 10:05 minutes and secured first place. Sandra Kreipl and Bianca Zwölfer followed in places second and three. In the 5-kilometer competition, Cornelia Krapfenbauer could not be beaten with an excellent time of 19:33 minutes. Nicoletta Leidenfrost and Maria Weißinger rounded off the top three. Magdalena Einfalt (38:29 minutes), Monika Weinmann and Andrea Pichler dominated the Nordic Walking runners.
women in focus
The event was led by the moderator Simone Brodesser, who led through the day with charm and energy. "I think it's great that the focus is on the woman at such running events," said Brodesser, who is usually active in beach volleyball or in the gym.
"I started running more than 20 years ago to keep myself fit. Now I can no longer imagine it without at all",
So the winner of the "Gone" category, Gabi Scherzer, who completed the 5-kilometer distance in 23:48 minutes. She draws her motivation from the sporting balance to her family life, as Conny Krapfenbauer, the overall winner, emphasized.
"I need this as compensation for family life",
added Krapfenbauer, whose name can be found regularly at many running events.
"The joy of movement, nature can enjoy and switch off",
describes Helene Eichinger her drive for running. Whether from a competition spirit or just to the joy of movement, health will definitely benefit from such activities.
In addition, in addition to the main prices, honors for the youngest and the oldest participant and the largest group were also carried out, which gave the event a special note.
Nevertheless, it can also be seen that the women's run in Edelhof is not only a competition, but also a wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas and to strengthen the sense of community among women. Sport, nature and cooperation - a successful combination that will continue to attract many runners in the future.
