New Bikepark am Schneeberg: from 2025 for adrenaline and families
New Bikepark am Schneeberg: from 2025 for adrenaline and families
Around the Schneeberg in Losenheim is an exciting new project that will change the region's sports landscape. From spring 2025, a total of seven downhill trails with an impressive total route length of 15 kilometers will be created there. These trails should not only enjoy the adrenaline junkies among us, but also families with children.
The highest mountain of Lower Austria is thus richer in an attraction. The Transport and Sports Councilor Udo Landbauer (FPÖ) expressed optimistic about the project: "In the concept, in particular, care was taken to ensure that as many target groups as possible are addressed." With different levels of difficulty of the trails you want to achieve a wide user group and offer a diverse experience.
focus on young rider
Another exciting aspect of the project is the planned “Kids & Skills area”, which is to be built directly at the valley station of the chairlift. Here children have the opportunity to gain initial experience in mountain biking under certain conditions. This specially secured exercise area is perfect to teach the youngest cyclists the basics of off-road driving.
In addition, the establishment of a bike rental and a mountain bike school is sought. Beginners and advanced students should have the opportunity to improve their driving technology in various courses. This initiative could also help promote the enthusiasm for mountain biking in the region and possibly produce new talents. According to those responsible, the local economy will also benefit from the new leisure opportunity.
The work on the bike park should be completed by 2028, and the first preparations are already underway. The bikepark around the Schneeberg chairlift not only promises added value for recreational athletes, but also an enrichment for the region as a whole. This development will certainly be a reason for many future visitors to explore and actively enjoy the region, while the nature of the snow mountain is acting as a scenarious framework.
The exact plans and further details can be found in a current report to increase the anticipation of the bike park and answer possible questions.
