After the storms: Boys from Bad Vöslau support Heiligenkreuz

The small but lively community Heiligenkreuz in the Wienerwald recently experienced a very challenging time. A few weeks ago, violent storms led to massive floods, which have severely affected various districts, especially Sattelbach. The streets turned into raging currents, and many houses were put under water, which led to considerable damage in the garages and apartments of the residents.

In this critical situation, the scouts of Bad Vöslau showed themselves as rapidly acting helpers. Already after the devastating events, they decided to provide support. The scout group pursues the goal of helping in emergencies within the city and the surrounding district, which becomes clear in their social commitment. It is particularly important to be emphasized by their annual flea market in the comb yarn center, the proceeds of which are often used for charitable purposes.

The municipality of Heiligenkreuz visited the Bad Vöslau scout group as an expression of their solidarity. Mayor Johannes Grasel from the ÖVP received a check for 2,000 euros, which is intended for rapid and unbureaucratic support of those affected by the flood. This sum is used directly to relieve the emergency locations created by the flood.

In addition to the main group, the scout guild Bad Vöslau also participated in this valuable initiative by providing an amount for immediate aid. This cooperative measure illustrates the spirit of the community and the determination of actively helping in times of the crisis.

The handover of the check was accompanied by several members of the scout group, including group leader Andrea Jenny and the flea market coordinator Werner Feltrini. The Vice Mayor Ing. Christof Schöny and the chairwoman of the parents' council Elfi Slechta were also present to appreciate this important gesture of support.

In a time when such acts are of great importance, the Bad Vöslau scouts have once again demonstrated that their commitment and helpfulness in the community are in demand. Their use is estimated from all sides and is a fundamental element of social cohesion in the region.
