135 years of elementary school Baumkirchnerring: Tradition meets diversity

The elementary school Baumkirchnerring in Wiener Neustadt celebrates an impressive anniversary: 135 years of education, shaped by the values of diversity, justice and inclusion. The celebrations took place in the picturesque school garden and offered schoolchildren, teachers and guests of honor an opportunity to appreciate the school's long -term tradition.

The Mayor Klaus Schneeberger and the City of Education Philipp Gruber did not miss the opportunity to praise the earnings of the school community. "For 135 years, this school building has been a symbol of the educational location in Wiener Neustadt and significantly shapes the district," said Schneeberger during the celebration. As a gift on the part of the city, the elementary school received a new swing that is supposed to upgrade the playing area for the children.

progress in language support

A central aspect of current school policy is the promotion of the German language. Small group courses for children with a migration background are now also offered at the Baumkirchnerring elementary school and the Otto Glöckel elementary school. This measure is part of a comprehensive program to support schoolchildren who have to learn German.

The elementary school Baumkirchnerring, under the direction of director Jasmin Steinböck, is currently looking after around 225 students, distributed to eleven classes and two preschool groups. The school has a long history that goes back to 1888 when the construction was proclaimed and represents a significant educational institution in the city. Particularly noteworthy are the innovative methods that have been introduced over the decades, such as the integration of modern teaching methods and the focus on the social well -being of the learners. Meals such as soup and bread in the winter months were offered here at an early stage.

The school has experienced several changes and challenges, including the two world wars, and has always found its place in the heart of the community. This resistance is not only in the architecture of the building, which has been renovated over time, but also in the quality of education that is conveyed here.
