The police conduct comprehensive traffic control in the Waidhofen district

Several police patrols carried out comprehensive traffic control in the Waidhofen district last Thursday. This special action, which is known as the "Planquadrat", took place on November 21st and had the goal of checking both alcohol and drug violations in road traffic.

A total of 136 alko advantage and an alkomatt test were carried out during this campaign. The stripes, led by Waidhofen Verkehr 1-3, also supported by other units from Waidhofen, Raabs, Dobersberg and Vitis, were present at strategically selected locations in the district. Interestingly, none of the controlled drivers crossed the statutory alcohol limit of 0.5, which indicates a pleasant discipline by road users. Drug offenses could not be determined either.

Despite the positive results, 14 organ penalty orders were issued and 17 advertisements were made for other violations. This shows that the police are still vigilant and will monitor various types of traffic violations. Special incidents or outstanding difficulties did not appear during the controls, which characterizes the course of the action as calm and smoothly.

The controls are part of the ongoing efforts of the authorities to ensure the security in road traffic and to remind drivers of the importance of responsible driving style. The results of this campaign can be seen as a positive step towards safe streets in the district. Further details on the measures carried out and their importance are in a report on www.noen.at to be found.
