The rural youth Speiendorf redesigned the entrance staircase at Jufa in Raabs in a remarkable project. The project marathon began when Mayor Franz Fischer and Vice Mayor Margit Auer gave the young volunteers the task of creating stable access. They were motivated and ready to master unplanned challenges.
In order to put the project into practice, the members of the rural youth gathered. At first a precise plan was developed, because as it turned out: building a staircase is anything but a simple matter!
The construction process
With earth drills, the first holes for the foundation were excavated. But soon the construction workers came up with a problem: "We came across 20 cm of stone - nature has its own plans!" the committed helpers reported. This unexpected challenge led you to change your technology and use new tools. Sparks flew when the Krampe was used and showed the tireless use of men and women on site.
After the successful construction of the foundation, the first staircase could be made. Measure accuracy was in demand, and after careful sawings, the fleece was laid and filled with sand. The work went forward quickly, and soon an additional task was waiting for the rural youth - the construction of a seat.
With clever measurements and clever crafts, a bank was created that looked fresh from a furniture catalog. The next chapter included attaching the step pads. With skill and passion, the handrails were also tailored and assembled in record time. Precise adjustments ensured that in the end everything was perfectly coordinated.
The rural youth waited with a mixture of excitement and joy for the presentation of their work. VIP guests such as Mayor Fischer and Vice Mayor Auer were not asked for long and visited the newly renovated entrance stairs, which now creates an inviting atmosphere at Jufa. The heads of the project, Sophie Schober and Daniel Peschel, proudly presented what she and her team had done in the past. The positive response of the visitors confirmed the efforts of the young craftsmen.

The Landjugend Speistorf not only created a practical solution for the entrance, but also established a room for encounters and conviviality at the Jufa. The use and creativity of the participants make this project a successful example of community commitment.
