Successful water service examination of the Raabser fire brigade youth

in Raabs, an important event in August took place in the sign of the fire service of the fire brigade. The youth group had not only prepared for an exciting competition, but also demonstrated its skills in dealing with water rescue and security. Just in time at 9:30 a.m. on the exam day, the first spectators arrived in the fire station to observe the progress of the young participants.

The test started with the distribution of test sheets that the children eagerly filled out. Then we went to the scene on the Thaya, where they prepared for the water test. Here they had to cope with various tasks, including the directional throwing of a rescue ring, the secure handling of linen and knots and the 200 meter long zillen route, which consisted of several obstacles.

successful examination and ceremony

The examiners, including the section clerk for Water Service, Birgit Zeilinger, and the deputy section commander, Markus Langsteiner, carried out the exams in a professional framework. They were accompanied by Vice Mayor Margit Auer and Mayor Franz Fischer, who all observed and support the progress of the children.

The challenge was not easy because the young participants in slalom for obstacles such as the red turning buoy and the white slalombojen had to show all of their skills. However, the intensive preparation and the team spirit paid off: all children passed the exam with flying colors. In addition, there was a ceremonial presentation of the badges and documents. Youth supervisor Richard Petters took this opportunity to thank both the examiners and the children for their excellent cooperation and discipline.

The members of the youth fire brigade can now proudly bear their badge, which honors the skills they have learned in the water service. While the Thaya now belongs to the fish and water birds again, the head of the participants remains the memory of a great day that was both educational and encouraging.

This day is a nice proof of the use and commitment of the fire brigade youth and shows how important the training is in security -relevant topics. Such events not only strengthen the practical skills, but also the sense of community among the young people of the fire brigade.
